Apartment ministries instituted in Spring Garden and Enchanted
 Hills complexes
  Purchased current facility at 1720 Gus Thomasson Road on
   January 26, 1999
Facility includes:
 * an 18,260 sq.ft. building (worship center and educational facility)
 * a two-story colonial-style 3,000 sq.ft. home, which currently houses
    the SIMM (Stronghold Inner-City Men's Ministry) program
 * a 2,400 sq.ft. building, which currently houses the
   Christian Stronghold Academy
  Under direction of Sheila Johnson, daycare in operation by summer
   1999 and licensed to serve 100 children
  SIMM program started in 1999 and Rev. James Reed hired as
 full time director
  With support grant from High Plains Foundation, Pastor Johnson became
   full time pastor in October 1999
  SCDC Missions Banquet held in January 2000
  One-week prayer revival instituted in August 2000 to seek God's
   direction for ministry
  12 participants graduated from SCDC computer literacy classes
   during 2000
  12 men graduated from SIMM program during 2000
