Founded in 1995, Christian Stronghold Baptist Church is a non-traditional Baptist church located in Northeast Dallas. Christian Stronghold has grown from a small bible study group of 7 to over 350 in 11 years. Christian Stronghold has become a known entity in the northeast sector of Dallas because of the strong community service and support.

History of the Christian Stronghold Baptist Church:

   Bible study in the home of Pastor Hal and Sheila Johnson in early 1995

   Intensive prayer with core group seeking God's direction for a church start

   Called to the area of "lower Ferguson Road" in East Dallas

   Church planting in March 1995-first service held April 2, 1995

   Entered into partnership agreement with Casa View Baptist Church,
        Rock of Faith Baptist Church, Dallas Baptist Association, and the
        Baptist General Convention of Texas

   Outreach in community began June 1995 with creation of Community
        Impact Team (CIT)

               Vacation Bible School
               Weekday Bible Study
               Weekly Sunday School
